Flock Highlights - NPW '26

National Payroll Week 2026
Probably the biggest celebratory week in the Payroll calendar! Hopefully you and your teams were able to join in with the fun, learning and connections. Team PSN had a really hectic and fun filled week, read on to see what we got up to. All of the individuals and business names are linked, please feel free to connect with them or pay them a virtual visit.
Monday 7th September
PSN attended the Association of Bureau Managers Conference, kudos to Barry Matthews and his team for a wonderful event with extraordinary speakers, the biggest bag of gifts, free books to support our development, and excellent food.
We were then off the CIPP flagship event at the Sky Garden for an evening of crazy photos, violin serenades and payroll royalty. The views very only secondary to the company. It was wonderful to see so many of our PSN followers and participants celebrating here.
Tuesday 8th September
After a day of beautiful sunshine, we were subjected to some great weather for ducks (see what I did there!), and a wet breakfast meet up with some of The Leppington Group in the grounds of Southwark Cathedral. After some coffee and croissants, it was over to the CIPP Payroll Services Summit at Glaziers Hall.
There were some truly innovating businesses there, lots of people building their own LEGO mini figure with Joao and the Nexum Clearway pensions team, unpeeling satsumas with Fair Work Solutions, and hearing about building and scaling a profitable Bureau with some industry legends.
Wednesday 9th September
We had a very happy humpday, being joined by Alex from JGA recruitment for a session on building your candidate brand. This was all about extending your community and putting your best foot forward in your online presence. You can find the slides on the PSN Resources page.
Then it was train time for a visit to Manchester, which proved the perfect time to finish the games ahead of our virtual social.
Thursday 10th September
Our first PSN Breakfast Club was underway, hosted in conjunction with Lisa and Adam from McKinnon Talent. We had the pleasure of welcoming NMW expert Jeni Morris, Mark Bremner from MBKB and Joe Kerry from My Money Matters. There were brilliant conversations, lots of opinions and a chance to meet fellow professionals in a relaxed environment. We were cleared out of our PSN merchandise!
We also unveiled our new concept - the Payroll Employer Standard (PSN Accreditation), a way of encouraging Employers to truly recognise and support their payroll teams. You can find out more on our dedicated web page.
It was then time for another train dash back down south, ready for our second virtual social, featuring the Payroll Monk himself, AJ Jain. We played bingo across the hour, played in some virtual duck races and learnt out Payroll IT crowd personality. AJ's personality quiz is on the resources page if you missed out and want a chuckle. A massive thank you to WH People who generously donated £150 towards prizes. Two of our winners opted to donate their winnings, meaning £20 going to Ripple suicide prevention and £30 going to our next fundraiser for Me & Dee children's charity.
Would you be surprised to read Friday was a day of recovery?!
